ANNA-MARIA'S JOY

"It's a unique experience, that's for sure! I need to digest it now... I've had some very powerful, very intense moments: I've still crossed the Atlantic single-handed!"

Anna-Maria Renken was delighted when she set foot on the pontoon of the Brooklyn marina after three weeks at sea...

" It's going to take me a long time to realize what I've been through over the last three weeks of this English transatlantic race! The day before yesterday, in the last depression off New York, it was hell: I freaked out... But there were a million moments that were fantastic. And I knew at the start in Plymouth that I was going to have to do my own repairs. But I'd been nicknamed MacGyver... I broke a few things, but I solved most of the technical problems. I'm really happy to have arrived in New York! "
