"I'm very happy. I can't find the words to express how I feel. At the start, I didn't understand why everyone was asking me why I'd chosen this race. Then I realised that it was the most difficult race and that's what I started with! I'm very proud to have gone all the way. It was very hard but I'm glad I did it. If I have to sum up these three weeks of racing, it's the image of martial arts that comes to mind. You need stamina but you also need to know how to fight through everything. I want to thank everyone, whether it's the organisers, my team or the competitors. They have enabled me to become part of the ocean racing family. I still need time to realise what I've done. I don't realise it yet. It's a beautiful day, with sunshine, skyscrapers and New York, but I still can't believe it.
