"At first, I didn't dare shoot it at all, I was feeling very frustrated. I almost hit a cargo ship and was overtaken by a whale. We had a big, nasty depression. That's what we came for. It was cool because we were with Robin (Marais), side by side at the time. As time went by, I gained confidence in the boat. I was having more and more fun. I was a bit disappointed because I was well into the game until the ice gate, when I started to break a lot of things. I fell way behind. I thought I'd broken a lot of things, but in fact it wasn't so bad. Things went better after that. The finish is great, it's incredible. We were side by side with Robin, 100 meters apart, even though we hadn't seen each other for 3,000 miles. I'm really happy because it's a crazy opportunity to do this just after the Mini Transat, with the little experience I have, and on top of that I'm fourth!"
